Cinnamon or whipped cream tend to be the more common additions when one looks to spice up a cup of coffee. Starting Saturday, Fort Worth's newest coffee shop in The Foundry District is introducing a more offbeat add-on — CBD.
Trinity Coffee House, located in the former Craftwork Coffee Co. space at 2700 Weisenberger St., has partnered with Foundry District neighbors Thrive Apothecary to add CBD to the menu. Trinity will offer a line of CBD called WelCel, created by Thrive owners Lisa and Trey Phillips, that can be added to any coffee or tea items.
Not many coffee shops around Fort Worth offer CBD as an add-on to one's beverage. Another shop that carries CBD is Arcadia Coffee on South Main Street; customers can add CBD to any beverage for $5.
The CBD add-on is one of several new menu offerings Trinity will launch during its grand opening event on Saturday. The coffee shop will also introduce three signature drinks in three different colors: Gold Rush (a yellow latte made with turmeric, cinnamon, nutmeg, cardamom, and maple syrup), Beet The Day (a pink latte made with rose tonic and beet powder), and Space Cowboy (a blue latte made with cinnamon, lavender, butterfly pea flower powder, and maple syrup).
The grand opening party will take place from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. and will also feature Sweet Thang Cotton Candy, cookies by Gold Ribbon Confections, and a mural reveal by Fort Worth artist Jana Renee.
