The Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival features bites by local chefs, craft beer, culinary competitions, live music, and more.
The Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival is back — as in, back, back. For real this time.
After a trimmed-down version of the festival saw success this past fall, the Fort Worth Food + Wine Foundation announced it's bringing back the full-scale event this spring, set for March 31 – April 3, 2022.
As per usual, six signature events will showcase bites by local chefs along with over 100 wines, craft beers, and spirits.
But the festival is also adding a seventh event this year — a kickoff dinner dubbed "Houston to Ho Nai," which will pair James Beard Award-winning chef Chris Shepherd of Houston with Fort Worth's own Tuan Pham of Four Sisters – A Taste of Vietnam. The seated, four-course meal, complete with drink pairings, will take place at BRIK Venue in the Near Southside; and all guests will receive an autographed copy of Shepherd's new book, Cook Like a Local: Flavors That Can Change How You Cook and See the World.
The festival will also bring back perennial favorites Tacos + Tequila; The Main Event; Nite Bites; Culinary Corral; Burgers, Brews + Blues; and Ring of Fire.
"We are thrilled to be hosting the festival again," executive director Julie Eastman said in a statement. "The pandemic hit the restaurant industry harder than most, and our local restaurants have had to work so hard to survive. The Fort Worth Food + Wine Festival is all about celebrating them and giving them a chance to show off what they do best with the support and much-deserved celebration from our North Texas community."
