Riscky's Barbeque
Riscky's Barbeque
Fort Worth's oldest barbecue joint is celebrating a birthday this week.
That's Riscky's Barbeque, turning 93 and celebrating with, appropriately, 93-cent specials and gift card giveaways Monday through Thursday.
The specials include:
- 93-cent chopped beef sandwich
- 93-cent kids’ meals (ages 12 and under)
- 93-cent iced tea
- 93-cent fountain soft drinks
- $9.30 all-you-can-eat beef rib basket
The specials are valid for dine-in only and offered at all locations. Additionally, Riscky's will be hosting contests and prize giveaways via Facebook and Instagram, including $93 gift card giveaways daily.
The storied barbecue joint began in 1927, when Polish immigrants Mary and Joe Riscky opened the first Riscky's Grocery & Market on Azle Avenue near the Fort Worth Stockyards. That location still exists today as Riscky's BBQ & Deli, with the brand expanding to also include Riscky's Steakhouse, Trailboss Burgers, and, of course, Riscky's Barbeque.
“For almost a century, Riscky’s has been proud to play a part in Fort Worth’s rich history and culture,” Eddie Sullivan, co-owner of Riscky’s, said in a statement. “We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our anniversary than to give back to the loyal Cowtown community that has continued to support us for the past 93 years.”
