Fort Worth native, Charlie Gentry has found a way for Texans to beat the heat with a little less guilt about compromising their diets.
How, you may ask?
Well, it really comes down to a few natural ingredients that are combined to create what all of Fort Worth will soon know as TruJoy Yogurt. This new brand of frozen Greek-styled yogurt is only 500 calories per pint. But you can’t get your hands on this cold treat until its official launch this Saturday at the Roy Pope Grocery at 2300 Merrick Street from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
TruJoy Yogurt was intentionally formulated with the nutrition and ingredient panel in mind, according to a release. It was created this way to meet customer demands for products that are not only nutritious and delicious but also made with natural and functional ingredients.
The brand will be hitting the shelves with five flavors: Classic Tart, Madagascar Vanilla Bean, Strawberry, Blueberry Parfait & Lemon Velvet, with plans to roll out more flavors in the works as the company grows.
“After over a year and [a] half of developing a frozen treat made with natural and healthful ingredients, I could not be more excited to finally be bringing TruJoy Yogurt to market,” says Gentry. “I hope that a pint of TruJoy Yogurt makes it into everybody’s freezer and becomes their go-to treat for sweet cravings.”
Attendees at the TruJoy Yogurt launch will have an opportunity to sample each of the five flavors that have already been created. This local company is working hard to fill the freezers of other independent grocers across town with the hopes to also be available at larger grocers by the end of the year.
TruJoy Yogurt’s Mission is to make the world a happier and healthier place by making the healthy choice the easy one.
“We believe that balance is the key to a long and happy life and hope that, by making the healthy choice the easy one, TruJoy Yogurt can enable and empower you to go out and make the world a better place,” Gentry says.
