When one Mediterranean spot closes, another opens at Fort Worth's Waterside development.
Washington, D.C.-based fast-casual chain, CAVA, opened its Fort Worth location Friday at 5917 Convair Drive, Ste. 309 — the former home of Zoe's Kitchen, a company CAVA acquired in 2018. Hence, many Zoe's Kitchens across the country are transitioning to become CAVAs, including the one at Waterside. CAVA is led by founders Ted Xenohristos and Ike Grigoropoulos, and executive chef Dimitri Moshovitis.
CAVA's menu features mainly chef-driven, customizable bowls filled with greens; grains like rice and lentils; dips like hummus, roasted eggplant, and tzatziki; and proteins like grilled chicken, braised lamb, and meatballs. Vegetarian options including falafel, roasted vegetables, and roasted white sweet potato are available as well. Customers can also opt to get their meal wrapped in a pita, washing it down with a crafted seasonal juice and tea.
Prior to its opening Friday, CAVA invited locals to a ticketed event giving away free meals and also accepted donations in support of the North Texas Food Bank.
