The Sundance Square location of Oliver's Fine Foods restaurant and market closed this week and is set to be replaced by In the Sack, a store with a similar concept to Oliver’s that offers free delivery of alcohol.
Oliver's Sundance Square location at 415 Throckmorton St. opened in 2011 and announced its closing via Facebook on Wednesday. Oliver’s Mansfield location at 2751 East Broad St., will remain open and continue to offer all its normal services, such as catering.
In Oliver's place will be In the Sack, set to open this summer, offering a food market, premade meals, gourmet wine and beer, and the first liquor store in Sundance Square. Its hours will be Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
According to a press release, the market will incorporate the culture and history of Fort Worth within the store's design.
“With this addition of In the Sack as an exclusive unique delivery concept allowing residents to bypass the grocery store, our customers and residents will be able to cultivate a complete shopping, dining and lifestyle experience,” Johnny Campbell, president and CEO of Sundance Square said in a statement.
The Sundance Square location fits perfectly with In the Sack's “commitment to provide added convenience to an urban lifestyle,” Devin Cox, founder of In the Sack, said in a statement.
This is In the Sack's second North Texas location, with the original location in Uptown Dallas.
