A popular TCU-area sports bar is getting a sibling.
Jon Bonnell, the chef behind Buffalo Bros and other Fort Worth restaurants like Bonnell’s and Waters, announced via Facebook that he and co-owner Ed McOwen are opening a second Buffalo Bros location.
Bonnell would not disclose the exact location but told Fort Worth Magazine that the restaurant will open in the Fort Worth area sometime next fall. The new location will be bigger than the original and have the same concept — a big bar, lots of TVs and a menu that features customer favorites like wings, pizza and other bar foods.
The original Buffalo Bros, located at South University Drive next to the TCU campus, opened in 2001 and has since remained a popular hangout among TCU students and football fans.
