Martin House Brewing Company brings you Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer. Using a sour beer base, Martin House mixes in sour pickle juice to create a delicious, tart treat that will definitely make any pickle lover’s day.
This 5.5 percent beer will be distributed throughout Texas starting Tuesday and over the next few weeks. It will not be distributed in any other state, nor can we ship it to any other state, so raise your pickle-pint high and make the rest of the country jealous. Check the Martin House website at martinhousebrewing.com, where a list of where you can snag it in a couple of days will be posted.
Best Maid returns the favor by bringing a collaboration product of its own: Salty Lady Beer Pickles. The tribute pickles celebrate one of Martin House’s most successful brews - Salty Lady - which is celebrating its fifth year Sept. 14. The beer already has over 15 variations on tap, four of those being special barrel-aged versions of the top-selling brew. Best Maid combined its sour pickle juice with a little salt, coriander, and lemon zest. Look for jars of Salty Lady Beer Pickles to be on store shelves in a couple of weeks.
Ready for a taste? Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer will be on tap starting Monday in the Martin House taproom at 220 S. Sylvania Ave. Both brands are also hosting a giant party to celebrate the debut of both new products from noon to 5 p.m. Aug. 17. Tickets are $12 for beer drinkers, and that includes one Best Maid/MHBC pint glass and four pours.
