With so many events occurring over the holiday season, it can be a daunting task, to say the least, to keep up with everything. So, with this in mind, and knowing full well no one wants to be in a “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation” scenario, Fort Worth Magazine has compiled a list of restaurants that will be open on or around Christmas Day for your convenience.
A restaurant known for elevating ranch classics, the 97 West Kitchen and Bar will be serving both a Christmas brunch and dinner this holiday season. Menu highlights include chicken fried Texas oysters, caramelized onion cream soup, venison Wellington, and wood-grilled filet mignon with buttered lobster tail. Dinner is $99 and will run 4-9 pm. Plus, brunch on Christmas Eve will start with a $49 menu and will be served 8 am-2 pm, which includes a choice of sharable starters like cast iron cinnamon rolls, and a main course like lobster omelet or steak and eggs. This award-winning Texas-based upscale steakhouse and traditional butcher shop is offering a festive holiday take-out menu, which is available all month with a 48-hour notice. Orders can be placed beginning December 1st and will be available for pickup through Sunday, January 1st. Please call The Butcher Shop at 817.731.5360 or order online at least 48 hours in advance. Blue Mesa Southwest Grill will serve its famous all-you-can-eat brunch on Christmas Eve, from 9 am-4 pm ($30 for adults, $10 for kids 6-11, and free for kids under 6; reservations recommended). A new to-go option this year, includes a Holiday Fajita Party Pack, which includes grilled chicken and steak fajitas, chicken taquitos, queso, guacamole, adobo pie, smoky black beans, coconut lime rice, toppings, or tortillas. Chef Jon Bonnell is known for creating a memorable dining experience for his guests by using certified Texas organic beef, wild game, and fresh Gulf seafood for many of his dishes. This year, Chef Bonnell is prepping elegant Christmas dinners to-go. All meal packages are cold-packed and come with reheating instructions. Options range from a whole beef tenderloin dinner with sides for eight ($450) to a whole prime rib dinner with sides for 16 ($600). Don’t forget bourbon-buttermilk pie for dessert. Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse
This high-end steakhouse, located near the Convention Center, known for its atmosphere as-well-as its wine cellar, will be open 3-8pm on both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Del Frisco’s will be serving its normal menu along with a prix-fixe three-course menu ($87) featuring 20-ounce prime rib served with horseradish cream, red wine au jus, and château mashed potatoes. This 46-year-old café will offer a $19.99 lunch buffet and will be open at 10am on Christmas Day. The buffet will include meat loaf, roast pork, and chicken-fried steak, plus some Tex-Mex. This Pan-Latin restaurant, located inside of the Worthington Renaissance Fort Worth Hotel, will serve dinner both Christmas Eve and Christmas Day along with a special Christmas Day brunch. The restaurant’s regular dinner menu will be served along with a chef special of roasted prime rib with jerk spiced marinade, mashed potatoes, asparagus, chipotle hollandaise, and ancho demi glaze. A buffet-style Christmas Day brunch with food stations will feature whole prime rib, chilled seafood, Belgian waffles, charcuterie, egg dishes, fresh fruit, and more.
