Big Chicken
A Las Vegas-based fast-casual chicken joint owned by NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal is preparing to open to the masses on September 3.
Located between North Freeway and Chloe Circle, Big Chicken is ready to make its debut in a big way. In honor of the number on O’Neal’s Lakers jersey, the first 34 customers through the doors at this new chicken concept, will receive free food and drinks at Big Chicken for a year.
Of course, the caveat to this news is each person is limited to a $10 order a week, once they’ve made it through the doors. But free food in today’s economy is always welcomed, right?
For instance, winners of this year-long food prize can order the biggest sandwich on the menu titled the Ultimate. The Ultimate chicken sandwich consists of a giant chicken breast stacked with mac and cheese, crispy fried onions, and roasted garlic bbq aioli. Or take on the Crispy Chicken grilled cheese sandwich, served with three cheeses, and chipotle bbq sauce on rustic Italian bread.
Don’t forget the sides.
Big Chicken also boasts a spicy side titled Dirty Fries, served with cheese sauce, bacon, banana peppers, and chipotle bbq.
Founded in 2018, Big Chicken is a concept created by O’Neal, JRS Hospitality, an accomplished Las Vegas-based ownership group; and Authentic Brands Group, a multi-national, multi-billion-dollar brand development, marketing and entertainment company.
According to Big Chicken’s website, this concept fuses O’Neal’s home-cooked childhood favorites with today’s trending flavors.
“From crispy chicken sandwiches and tenders to Cheez-It crusted mac n’ cheese and hand-crafted ice cream shakes, each menu item tells a story all while offering guests an inside look into the life and personality of Shaquille O’Neal,” the website states.
This new opening and the fact that O’Neal is coming back to Fort Worth for a second time with his electronic music festival, Shaq’s Bass All-Stars Festival at Panther Island on November 16, only reveals that the NBA legend has acquired a taste for Cowtown.
