A second Taco Heads is on its way to the Near Southside.
The restaurant will be located at South Main Street and Vickery Boulevard and is expected to open within the next 12-18 months, according to managing partner Jacob Watson. The space, developed by SoMa, will span between 2,000-3,000 square feet and include an upstairs patio with a view of downtown.
The second location will have more of a fast casual vibe, contrasting with the nightlife vibe of the first location, Watson says.
Taco Heads began as a food truck before opening its first brick and mortar at 1812 Montgomery St. last year. The restaurant's menu includes taco offerings like Roasted Chipotle Brisket, Garlic Cilantro Gulf Shrimp and Bourbon Black Bean Veggie. Taco Heads also serves breakfast all day, along with desserts like Pan Dulce and Mexican popsicles.
