ZAAP Kitchen
TCU-area development WestBend is adding Thai and Laotian cuisine to its restaurant offerings by way of a new fast casual eatery that opened over the weekend.
ZAAP Kitchen, located at 1621 River Run, Ste. 171, specializes in Thai and Laotian street eats like Tom Kha soup, Nam Khao, pineapple fried rice, green papaya salad, and Pad Thai. The menu also features desserts like mango sticky rice and Joy Macaron ice cream sandwiches; drinks like Lao and Thai iced tea and young coconut juice; and gluten-free and vegetarian options.
The WestBend restaurant is ZAAP Kitchen's fourth location (the other three are located in Dallas). The space offers both dine-in and patio seating, as well as delivery via DoorDash, ChowNow, and Uber Eats.
Behind the menu is operating partner and chef Kevin Singharaj, whose 19 years of experience includes stints in Hawaii, Washington's Mix Poke Bar, and Nobu.
"Our dishes are reflective of what we enjoyed growing up in our family," Singharaj says. "We can’t wait to share them with Fort Worth."
ZAAP Kitchen is currently hiring front- and back-of-the-house positions. Those interested in applying can send resumes to [email protected].
