Location: Far West Fort Worth, Aledo Area
Zip Code(s): 76088
NEIGHBORHOOD SUMMARY:
Located just 15 minutes west of downtown Fort Worth, the 740-acre Morningstar development will house more than 2,000 lots when complete. The development will also be home to 120 acres of open green space, 2.5 miles of hiking and biking trails, two swimming pools, a splash pad and outdoor theater. Morningstar developers stress that, while other nearby developments are years in the making, some of these homes are ready now.
“We will have 30 families moving in this [March] and that's just the beginning. We have another 100 houses under construction now with many more to come after that,” said Morningstar developer Tim Fleet.
The development features homes by DR Horton, Rendition, Highland and Impression. Homes will range from 1,800 to more than 4,000 square feet, built on 50, 60 and 70-foot lots. Prices range from the $250's to $400's in the first two neighborhoods.
Last year, Parker County Judge Mark Riley announced that the County will be a new sub-courthouse on the site of Morningstar.
The development offers affordable housing options, just 15 minutes west of downtown Fort Worth, zoned for Aledo ISD schools. Fifteen acres on the Morningstar site are committed to a new school.
