Orvis
The shopping hub home to Central Market and The Container Store will soon become home to Fort Worth’s first Orvis location ― one of America’s leading hunting and fishing gear brands.
Things are getting decidedly more outdoorsy at Chapel Hill Shopping Center.
Venture Commercial Real Estate recently completed a lease that will bring Orvis to Fort Worth. Currently under construction at 4601 West Freeway in the Chapel Hill Shopping Center, it will take over the prime corner spot that was vacated by Beauty Brands earlier this year. The company is anticipating opening this fall.
Headquartered in Vermont, and founded in 1856, Orvis has more than 80 stores in the U.S. and the United Kingdom. The Fort Worth store will join three others currently in DFW, and will occupy 6,318 square feet.
“Orvis Retail is excited to be entering Fort Worth later this year,” says Jason Williams, director of Real Estate for Orvis. “This will be our fourth location in the greater DFW market and our first in Fort Worth specifically. Fort Worth is a natural fit for us to expand, as our brand has resonated in Texas for many years.”
A leader in the “discovery and adventure” market, Orvis carries men’s and women’s sportswear, fine gifts and home furnishings, luggage, and travel accessories. “At our core we are a fly-fishing and wing-shooting brand, inspired by nature, driven by curiosity, and fulfilled by adventure,” according to their website.
“We hope our customers are thrilled with our offerings of fly-fishing and hunting gear, men’s and women’s apparel, dog accessories and adventure travel. Conservation partnerships and free fly-fishing classes will be announced prior to opening.”
