Home décor retailer, Frontgate, which currently sells goods through the website and catalogs, opened a more than 21,000-square-foot store in Plano's The Shops at Legacy West in July. FRCH Design Worldwide, an award-winning strategic design and architectural firm, designed the space.
A press release from the company touts the retail location as more than a store, but a "community lifestyle center for the best of all things home." That includes a bistro with gourmet bites for customers to eat, as well as meet with designers and experts.
"We have brought the brand to life in a 360-degree environment, allowing our consumers to interact with our products in a comfortable space that makes them feel at home," Jenn Reeves, head of brand marketing forFrontgate, said in a press release. "We're excited to partner with the local community as well as welcoming and entertaining them in our new home in Texas."
Additionally, a 2,500-square-foot patio space provides an open-air shopping environment. The store will utilize the space with monthly workshops, parties and events tied to design.
Frontgatehead of public relations, Tyler Thompson, had an explanation for North Texas becoming home to the first store. "We find that North Texans enjoy entertaining at home and are looking for high-quality products that reflect the pride they take in their space. We are thrilled to bring theFrontgateexperience to our current customers in DFW, while also making an amazing introduction to those we have yet to meet."
