Retired football player, Larry Cole, recently released a memoir about his 13-year career as a defensive lineman for the Dallas Cowboys. On Saturday, April 9, a signing was held in Southlake for the new book Living the Dream on America’s Team.
According to a press release, the book details the now-75-year-old’s time as a Cowboy — an era that saw America’s Team capture two Super Bowl titles under the tutelage of Tom Landry and quarterbacking of Roger Staubach — and how he began building his development business during his off-seasons.
A memoir/business book hybrid, of sorts, the autobiography gives readers insight into how Cole was able to transition smoothy to life after football.
Cole, for those unfamiliar with Cowboys lore, was part of a vaunted Cowboys defense deemed the “Doomsday Defense” — allowing a mere 23 points in the entirety of the 1977 playoffs.
Live the Dream on America’s Team is available for purchase on Amazon, Apple iTunes, Google Play, and bookstores everywhere.
