Jubilee Theatre presents HooDoo Love
The Jubilee Theatre is taking its own moniker of having a proud history and bright future to heart with a new first-ever initiative.
The theatre’s board of directors recently announced that they will be developing a vision statement that will help give this 42-year-old organization some future objectives. This new initiative titled Next42, will be comprised of a special advisory committee of board members, community leaders and donors, according to a press release.
This is the first time such an initiative has been introduced to the Jubilee model. This initiative is projected to fortify Jubilee’s positioning for the coming decades.
“This is an exciting time for Jubilee Theatre to establish a blueprint for the future,” board president, Anita Heiskell says. “As with any visioning plan, there will be a review of the current organizational structure and we will work hard to ensure that the right people and resources are in place to carry us into the next generation of Jubilee Theatre.”
Founded by Rudy and Marian Eastman in Fort Worth, Texas on June 19, 1981, Jubilee Theatre is the original home of African American theater in North Texas. Jubilee Theatre was incorporated in 1982 and received its 501(c)(3) status in May 1983.
