Multi-platinum award-winning artist Kid Rock will be making a stop at Dickies Arena on Saturday June 24th, during a four-city limited run tour titled “No Snowflakes Summer Concert.” Rock will have a different special guest in each city, including Chris Janson, Marcus King, Travis Tritt, and Grand Funk Railroad.
As an artist, Rock has amassed nearly 30 million record sales world-wide with his genre bending musical style. Rock began his career in the late 90s with a rap-rock style that morphed into a country twang with songs like “Picture” a collaboration with music icon Sherly Crow.
Rock holds the Michigan record for most tickets sold with 150,000 for a run of ten consecutive sold-out shows and set the Little Caesars Arena attendance record in his hometown of Detroit with 86,893 attendees in six sold-out shows, according to a press release. Besides his musical career, Rock is known as a passionate supporter of those who serve in the US Armed Forces, in addition to many other charitable causes through his Kid Rock Foundation.
His newest album, "Bad Reputation", was released through his own Top Dog Records label. The album features crowd favorites, “Don’t Tell Me How To Live”, “We The People”, and “My Kind of Country”, a song he co-wrote with Eric Church and Adam Hood.
Rock will be joined at Dickies Arena by none other than blues guitarist Marcus King, who was brought up on the blues, playing shows as a pre-teen sideman with his father, the fellow bluesman Marvin King.
Tickets will be available Friday, March 10th at 10am via Ticketmaster.com. To purchase tickets early, fans can go to Ticketmaster.com on Thursday, March 9th from 10am -10pm and enter unlock presale code: DICKIES.
