Update: Arlington's boil water notice was lifted Saturday.
Following the city's notice asking North Fort Worth residents to boil their water before consumption, now Arlington residents are being advised to do the same.
The City of Arlington has issued a boil water notice due to a recent pressure drop in the distribution system, which could lead to contaminated water. The city recommends bringing water to a vigorous rolling boil for five minutes then letting it cool completely prior to any form of consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc).
According to a news release, Arlington Water Utilities is working to restore water pressure in the distribution system. Public water system officials will notify customers when the boil water notice is lifted.
The City of Arlington will continue to post updates on its website, Facebook, and Twitter pages. Those with questions can call the Arlington Water Utilities Department at 817-275-5931.
