DFW Sanitization
DFWSanitization
Jesus Marchant started DFW Sanitization in 2019, not knowing what would become of it.
While the business offers a variety of services to choose from, disinfecting and sanitizing became particularly popular this year due to COVID-19. What started off with two clients quickly turned into a business serving over 100, some paying for a one-time sanitization and others signing a contract with the company.
“Majority of our jobs have been focused on sanitizing and disinfecting houses and commercial buildings all across the DFW area,” Marchant says.
DFW Sanitization uses a hospital grade disinfectant certified by the Environmental Protection Agency and approved by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The disinfectant is sprayed out of a fogger spray system, breaking down into very small molecules to get into places that the average person can’t reach. It’s recommended that the product sit anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour, depending on how severe the case of COVID-19 is in the building. Once the spraying is done and has sat for a while, people are allowed to go back into the facility.

Marchant says the company grew the way it did not only because of the pandemic but also because people now want to be cleaner than they had been before. People are more aware that they need to wear masks, wash their hands, and clean things that might not have been cleaned as much in the past, such as doorknobs or the buttons on a microwave.
DFW Sanitization is one of the several business Marchant runs. He's a partial owner of a gym, and there are plans to open a landscaping business in the near future.
“It was a scary thing, especially just jumping in to be a full-time business owner,” Marchant says. “I managed a business for several years and learned a lot, so I’m taking that and implementing it into my own business.”
