Chef Tim Love is expanding his entrepreneurial footprint in the Stockyards with his biggest venture yet, a 26,000-square-foot, two-story music hall that will seat upwards of 1,000 people, a news release announced on Tuesday afternoon.
Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall will mark the Stockyards’ newest live music venue, as well as a restaurant, and private event space with a full catering kitchen. It will open later this year in the Mule Alley development.
The venue, named for Love’s son, resulted from a partnership between Love and California-based Live Nation.
In addition to his Lonesome Dove Western Bistro on North Main, Love’s other establishments in the Fort Worth historic district include the White Elephant Saloon, Love Shack, Atico, and the newly opened Paloma Suerte.
“Our team is thrilled to bring our 20-year knowledge of the Stockyards and our extensive hospitality and live music experience to add another layer of richness to Fort Worth’s legendary, robust live music scene,” Love says in a statement. “We are very grateful to have Live Nation as our booking partner — we plan to bring some incredible acts to Fort Worth.”
Additionally, the landmark mule barn will be equipped with extensive kitchen facilities designed to accommodate pre-event dining, full concert concessions, and multiple course meals for up to 500 guests, for weddings, family reunions, and other social and corporate events.
By the time of grand opening, the venue’s 26,000-square feet will have been completely renovated by Studio 11 Design, a full-service interior design firm based in Dallas. Its main floor will feature a main stage, restaurant, merchandise retail shop, and a large double-sided bar. Upstairs, a mezzanine features the three VIP suites accommodating 20 each, a separate lounge area, and a private bar, all with views to the main stage.
A complete calendar of concerts will be announced at a later date.
“We can’t wait to bring even more diverse artists and bands to the growing Fort Worth market,” says Anthony Nicolaidis, president of Live Nation Dallas. “We believe this partnership with Tannahill’s Tavern & Music Hall will only bring more new and exciting opportunities to the market and will complement the historically vibrant music scene in Fort Worth.”
