The Fort Worth Botanic Garden will soon have an exhibit that should appease many “Jurassic Park” fans.
Starting January 26, the Botanic Garden will be home to the new Dinosaurs Around the World: The Great Outdoors exhibit, which will feature a dozen prehistoric creatures from all over the globe. Part history exhibit part animatronics, this new outdoor display was made possible by a collaboration with Dr. Gregory M. Erickson, a world-renowned dinosaur paleontologist, and Imagine Exhibitions, a leading producer of immersive experiences.
The 12 dinosaurs on display for this exhibit represent a prehistoric creature from every continent, according to a release. This along with a multi-layered narrative, and some cutting-edge research will reveal new and exciting facts about these pre-historic creatures who once roamed the earth freely.
Some of the dinosaurs on display for this exhibit include the mighty T. Rex of North America, one of the very first dinosaurs to appear on earth, the bi-pedal predator Herrerasaurus, and the bony-crested Oviraptor from Mongolia, among others.
Tickets to Dinosaurs Around the World are included with the purchase of a regular Garden admission until May 30. To purchase tickets in advance, visit fwbg.org.
“Being able to observe dinosaurs in a natural setting is something straight out of a science fiction movie,” said Patrick Newman, CEO and president of the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. “The Garden is thrilled to provide our guests with this unique opportunity to feel like they truly stepped into a land before time.”
