Join some area runners who are participating in a 5K event in memory of the servicemen and servicewomen who gave their lives to uphold our freedom. Don’t worry, you can walk or jog too. Attendees will meet up at the Trinity Park Pavilion #1 at 7 a.m. on May 27. Awards will be handed out for Overall male & female, Masters male & female, and top 3 for each 5-year age group, post run. 95th Annual Fort Worth Memorial Day Service
This truly Fort Worth-centric Memorial Day Service being held near the center of Mount Olivet Cemetery, will include county, city, and military leadership. This service will feature Don Graves, 99-year-old Iwo Jima flame thrower and WWII survivor, who will be leading the “National Anthem” and singing “God Bless America” before Keynote Speaker, Capt. 35th Annual National Tap Dance Party Celebration
Arts Fifth Avenue is tapping its way into the hearts of tap dance enthusiasts this Saturday in honor of the 35th anniversary of National Tap-Dancing Day. This free event will kick off at 8 p.m. on the outdoor stage and features performances from the A5A Tap Dancers, the Dancing Dames from Taps 'n Tunes and North Texas tappers of all ages. Even Broadway veteran, Ron Young will be in attendance as the fest’s special guest.
