Come out and join Fort Worth's finest and help raise money for training and equipment for the Fort Worth Police Department THIS Thursday, August 29, at the Cendera Center. This fun event is the perfect time to schmooze and rub elbows with all the Top Cops and PoPo's in town. Attending this event might even help the next time you get pulled over because your foot was a little on the heavy side.
Guests will enjoy top-shelf premium cocktails, nosh on hors d'oeuvres, and enjoy fine, hand-rolled cigars, while perusing a $1 million gallery of Beretta shotguns and other luxury items, such as sports cars, watches from Haltom's, motorcycles, watercraft and more! A live auction and raffle of impressive prizes are also on the evening’s agenda.
Event organizers, led by retired Fort Worth Police Officer Jeff Bryan (who also serves as the Fort Worth Police Officers' Award Foundation's Director of Development) have dubbed the event, “Big Guns In Cowtown”. All event proceeds benefit the Fort Worth Police Department, providing funding for training programs (such as fighting cyber crime) and new technology (such as digital cameras), and more.
“Last year's inaugural event at Del Frisco's helped to fund the purchase of digital cameras for police to better document actions or evidence at the scene of a crime. Other areas of need include continuing education and aiding families of officers killed in the line of duty,” said Bryan, pictured below.
Local celebrity “big guns” hosting the event include Hal Jay of WBAP radio fame, former Dallas Cowboys player Walt Garrison, sports journalist Randy Galloway, and current and past Fort Worth Mayors, Betsy Price and Mike Moncrief, among others.
