Fort Worth Botanic Garden
The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is under new management.
On Thursday, the garden transferred management from the City of Fort Worth to the Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) — a 20-year agreement that was approved by the Fort Worth City Council on May 19.
BRIT's plans for the garden include a marketing campaign that will launch over the next two quarters. The Botanic Garden and BRIT will have a combined website along with integrated social media marketing and public relations efforts.
There's also a new logo, which depicts a single leaf made up of two halves — a green half representing the Botanic Garden and a gold half representing the research and preservation work of BRIT. The logo also features the names of both entities.
“The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is an incredible community asset,” Mayor Betsy Price said. “Thanks to this important partnership, residents and visitors will be able to continue to enjoy the gardens and experience everything it has to offer.”
