...are about to get a whole lot more JOYFUL!
The Joy of Life Gala benefiting Cancer Care Services is FINALLY HERE! I can't even begin to tell you how much work I have put into this event! I feel like I have birthed the Mother Load! Busting balls across this town raising awareness for this AMAZING charity, soliciting auctions items and selling sponsorship tables/tickets out the wazoo has been the name of my game for the past year.
Let me tell you how FABULOUS this evening is going to be. First lets start with the food and wine. 3 course wine pairing dinner with steak and shrimp. Need I say more? Entertainment? Only the best will do. Have you ever danced to the tunes of Time Machine? INSANE!!! If you're on the dance floor, you'll get the workout of your life!!!
AUCTION!!! Woohoo, lets talk about a few of the 100+ packaged items donated. My very favorite donation for the LIVE auction is Steve Jobs (Ashton Kutcher) LA Movie Premier Trip for 2, including access to the after party + tickets to Jay Leno with green room access! (dream X-mas gift...hint hint mom & dad). There are soo many unique silent auction items, including 4 tickets to Willie Nelson in Austin for NYE, Party in a Box (a turn key event all planned out for you, all you have to do is grab your 100 besties and show up), Christmas lights tour by Epic Helicopters, and killer selections of wine packages/wine dinners. These are just a few teeny tiny teases of what you can bid on with your smart phone that evening at Ridglea Country Club.
All the funds raised through this awesome celebration of all the joys in life go to help LOCAL cancer patients and their families. From paying COBRA and prescription co-pays, to ensuring they are getting the treatments they need, to emotional support such as counseling and social activities for the entire family, to helping them deal with all of the emotions that come with a family. These are just some of the many things that Cancer Care Services can do.
Now for the best part! Last year they sold around 325 tickets for this event and this year we are over 450, AND there's still room for more. So if you want to attend one of the BEST EVENTS OF THE YEAR, you must contact Alex Martin [email protected] within 24-36 hours to purchase your tickets ($200 each) or table ($2500). Food/alcohol count needs to be turned in Asap.
