Chad Mathews, executive director for the festival, said in a news release the 2018 Lone Star Film Festival was among the top he’s organized. This 13th year, according to Mathews, will be chock-full of several world premieres and surprise celeb visits.
A record-breaking number of submissions were said to have been submitted for the 13th annual Lone Star Film Festival, and with a couple months before the event, the first 10 have been revealed.

“Grand Isle” featuring Nicolas Cage and Kelsey Grammer and written by North Texas native Iver Jallah will have its world premiere at the festival, alongside “Now or Never: A Tony Romo Story,” directed by Chris Hanna. Documentary, drama, and even comedy flicks abound, among other genres.
