Paul McCartney
Hot on the heels of the Disney + release of the Peter Jackson-helmed, 8-hour documentary “Get Back,” Sir Paul McCartney has announced his first tour dates since 2020. And, wouldn’t ya know it, Fort Worth is one of the 13 lucky cities the ex-Beatle will grace with his presence.
The show, which will undoubtedly become one of the hottest tickets in town, will take place May 17 at Dickies Arena, and tickets go on sale Tuesday, Feb. 22 via Ticketmaster.
“I said at the end of the last tour that I’d see you next time,” McCartney said in a press release. “I said I was going to get back to you. Well, I got back!”
Dickies Arena is an interesting venue for one of the world’s most famous musicians/people. McCartney previously played in front of over 45,000 fans at Globe Life Park in Arlington, and Dickies Arena represents one of the smaller venues McCartney will hit during his upcoming tour.
While McCartney hardly needs to be hot on the heels of anything to sell out a world tour, the knighted pop star has remained busy in the twilight of his career. Two years ago, he released McCartney III before enlisting a decent cache of collaborators (Beck, Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, Devonté Hynes, Damon Albarn, and others) for McCartney III Imagined — a companion to his 2020 album.
