More than 100 volunteers – underserved middle school students, school staff, Fidelity Investments® employees and Volunteer Center of North Texas staff – will give teachers a back-to-school gift – a makeover transforming their workroom into a “teacher innovation center” at Kirkpatrick Middle School in Fort Worth. The new innovation center is designed to invigorate teachers and offer resources to create new ideas and share best practices in developing learners at this Title 1 school – especially in light of significant education budget cuts. Students also will write thank you notes to teachers for this room.
