Studio Movie Grill
After COVID-19 pressed pause on the opening of Fort Worth's first Studio Movie Grill, the movie theater-meets-restaurant is ready to welcome moviegoers starting Friday.
Studio Movie Grill will open at 5413 Sierra Springs Lane, anchoring The Shops at Chisholm Trail Ranch. Outfitted with 1,200 luxury recliners, NEC laser projection, and Q-SYS custom sound systems, the 40,000-square-foot theater becomes the Dallas-based chain's 14th Texas location and adds 12 screens to its current 353 operating in 10 states nationwide.
SMG Chisholm Trail is currently selling tickets for "The New Mutants" and "Hinged" on its website, with early access tickets for Christopher Nolan's "Tenet" going on sale starting Monday.
In light of the pandemic, the theater will operate at 50% capacity with limited showtimes and reduced-contact ordering options. Moviegoers can order food via the SMG App, self-service kiosks, or at their seat by pressing the service button.
Menu options include burgers, flatbreads, and some new items like a chili lime chicken salad and exclusive collaborations with Matthew McConaughey’s Longbranch Whisky, Ryan Reynold’s Aviation Gin, and Fiddy’s Branson Cognac.
“With the opening of SMG Chisholm Trail, we are excited to open our doors for the first time in Fort Worth and become the anchor for this exciting new development and serve the surrounding area,” Studio Movie Grill Founder/CEO Brian Schultz said in a statement. “We are continually innovating our concept and pride ourselves on offering much more than just the best in movies and full-service in-theater dining; our mission is to open hearts and minds one story at a time and to serve and support our local communities.”
