The much-anticipated Neiman Marcus at The Shops at Clearfork officially opens to the public this Friday. We toured the space on Wednesday to give you the low down on all the essential information.
It's not bigger. But, it's better.
Neiman Marcus 2.0 rings in at 95,000 square feet. That's actually smaller than the Ridgmar store. But, you would never know it. An open floor plan, strategic lights and a giant escalator at the middle of the store make the space feel much much grander.
There are Fort Worth nods throughout the store.
Chains that emulate the Fort Worth Water Gardens, close-up abstract photos of leaves and tumbleweeds and suede and leather keep Cowtown top of mind for shoppers.
The Shops at Clearfork is pretty.
There are no other stores yet, but this new shopping development is already striking. It's clean, it's streamlined. And, most importantly, it looks ready for new retailers.

Technology abounds.
A Memory Mirror captures images of looks customers try on, allowing you to see outfits side by side as well as a 360-degree view. Similar technology in the makeup department captures your in-store makeup application and can email video tutorials. The Rockbot app allows customers to choose the music that plays while trying on clothes. And, there's more. But you get the picture.
Zodiac is out. NM Café is in.
The café in the former Neiman Marcus location was named Zodiac. But, now it's the classic NM Café. The space is smaller. The look is more modern. There is a full bar. A curtain provides a private space that can be reserved for lunches and showers. And, a massive window showcases a view of The Shops at Clearfork.

The cosmetics area is smarter.
“Open-sell” space allows you to shop for makeup without being required to engage with a sales person behind the counter. We love you sales people, but thank goodness for this.
They listened to customers.
A larger shoe and handbag department, plus additional vendors like Co, Derek Lam, Gucci and Dolce & Gabanna, are the result of customer requests.
Men, you are not forgotten.
“The Man's Store” has a specific men's shoe department, plus a men's club room with a flat-screen TV, so gentlemen customers can make themselves comfortable while ordering custom clothing and suits.

The Beauty department is serious business.
A Beauty Board Room is ready to provide classes and events for up to 8 customers, and two spa rooms are available for customers to test tools and score complimentary beauty treatments.
It opens Friday at 10 a.m.
Go check it our for yourself.
