Starting March 21, Toro Toro Fort Worth will join other global Richard Sandoval Hospitality concepts to debut their Spring campaign, Viva Abejas, which translates to “long live bees.”
This means, Toro Toro Fort Worth will feature a menu that incorporates plant-based and bee-centric ingredients to spread awareness of the importance of bees to our food system.
In honor of this ecological relationship, Toro Toro will feature a special menu that will run from March 21 to April 23. The Viva Abejas menu includes a starter of Charred Avocado and Pear Salad made with charred avocado, Greek yogurt foam, candied walnut bibb lettuce, and a honey-chipotle vinaigrette; an entree of Enchiladas Doradas which is Mexican calabacitas stew, honey-bell pepper sauce, queso fresco, crema, and corn tortilla; and ending on a sweet note of a Honey Panna Cotta which features white chocolate honeycomb and coconut crumble.
Guests can also enjoy sipping a Honey Lavender Margarita made with blanco tequila, crème de violette, triple sec, fresh lime, and honey lavender simple syrup.
To highlight this annual event, Sandoval released his first children’s book “Viva Abeja”, which will support the World Bee Project and the Akumal Children’s Foundation through donations. In order to bring his vision to life, Chef Sandoval collaborated with Mexico City-based illustrator and artist, Lourdes Villagómez to debut bespoke pieces and icons that vibrantly tell the story of the bee and its beauty, according to a release. The icons of the queen bee, honeybees, and flowers feature a stellar color palette that commemorates what the season brings and symbolic references to Pachamama.
Toro Toro Fort Worth says in a release that it is proud to support the preservation of the bees with other Richard Sandoval Hospitality locations participating in the Spring campaign, which encompasses ten states and ten countries including the United States of America, Mexico, United Arab Emirates, Serbia, and Qatar.
