'Tis the season to plan for that big meal we celebrate every fourth Thursday of November — Thanksgiving. But if you don’t have the time to cook a big meal, let one of the eateries on our list do all of the heavy lifting for you. Just remember to get enough for seconds.
This year, The Butcher Shop at B&B is offering ready to roast meals or pre-cooked entrées, sides and desserts. To add to this, prix-fixe plated dinner with all the trimmings will be ready for curbside pickup on Thursday, November 23rd from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. The plated dinner includes a mixed green salad, butternut squash soup, roasted turkey, cornbread & sausage stuffing, giblet gravy, cranberry sauce, brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, a slice of pumpkin pie & a slice of apple pie.
Orders can be placed now and will be available for pickup starting on Tuesday, November 21st through 4 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day. (The roasted turkey is brined and ready to cook and comes with cooking instructions - it is not pre-cooked. However, the smoked turkey is cooked.) This restaurant, located in the Sinclair Hotel, has created a Thanksgiving menu that includes such starters as fresh shucked oysters, roasted bone marrow, and fried artichokes. Some of the mains include turkey roulade, ginger miso Chilean sea bass, and seared salmon. Butcher cuts include a tomahawk steak, bone in filet, and a bone in cowboy ribeye to name a few. Other Thanksgiving specials include butternut squash soup, cornbread stuffing with sausage, sweet potato mash, mashed potatoes, creamed spinach, and mac & cheese. Local chef Jon Bonnell knows everyone could use a helping hand during the holidays. This is why he has created over a dozen to-go options for families to enjoy. Choose from a 12 to 15-pound Creole smoked turkey, or some semi boneless grilled quail, to a whole beef tenderloin served with a red wine demi-glace just to name a few options. Don’t forget the sides either. Bonnell’s has green chile cheese grits, dinner rolls, sweet potato casserole and more to choose from. All the food is cold-packed and sent out with reheating instructions. This marks the sixth year the Taste Community Restaurant will host a Thanksgiving meal. This pay-what-you-can style restaurant is strictly a volunteer-based eatery located in the heart of Downtown Fort Worth at 1200 S. Main Street. The only caveat is that patrons need to RSVP, so none of the food goes to waste. Brunch starts at 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. on November 23. Don’t sleep on this place, it has a rep for awesome cuisine and has become a spot for locals to see and be seen.
The Omni Fort Worth Hotel invites you to experience a Thanksgiving meal that features locally sourced ingredients hand chosen by their team of highly skilled chefs. Head to the second level where turkey, along with pineapple-clove-studded ham, and beef with rosemary cheddar mashed potatoes, will be served.
