HCK Hot Chicken
The heat is on at Fort Worth’s newest Nashville-style hot fried chicken concept HCK Hot Chicken. This new eatery located at 6600 N. FWY. Suite 128 will be kicking off its grand opening this Saturday July 29th at 11 a.m. Mark this date on your calendar because HCK Hot Chicken will be offering $5 sandwiches all day long (one per guest). Plus, every guest will receive a coupon for a free sandwich with any purchase that is good for a future visit.
HCK Hot Chicken specializes in Nashville-style sandwiches and chicken tenders that are prepared to order and then dipped in one of four sauces that boast different heat levels or country style if you’re not feeling spicy. This new restaurant also offers premium hot sauces, each infused with a different type of pepper.
So why Fort Worth?
It comes down to first time restaurateurs’ and Fort Worth natives’ husband and wife duo, Carla and Billy Zenn. After several years in different careers, the duo decided it was time for a new adventure. They spoke with a franchise consultant who gave them several potential businesses to partner with, zeroing in on HCK after visiting the company in Virginia.
“We kind of fell in love with them,” Carla Zenn told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram earlier this week. “When we were able to test the food, we thought we really need to bring it back to our friends and family.”
Some of the food items on the new HCK Hot Chicken menu, besides chicken sandwiches, are loaded fries, chicken and waffles, and a loaded mac and cheese bowl. The loaded mac and cheese bowl is made with Mac & cheese topped with chicken tossed in your choice of sauce or country style, sprinkled with shredded cheese, with drizzled house made good sauce and topped with a panko crumble. This menu item is a favorite of Billy Zenn, who highly recommends it.
“I don’t care where you try other different styles of chicken sandwiches, this has a distinct flavor and taste that just makes you want to come back,” Billy Zenn told the Star-Telegram.
Fort Worth is HCK’s first venture into Texas, with three restaurants already established in Virginia. The other two locations are in Florida and New Jersey, with several others on the way.
HCK Hot Chicken will open Sunday-Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday-Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
