Cookbook author, celebrity chef and franchise owner Fabio Viviani will soon have a new JARS Sweets and Things opening up here in Fort Worth. This new franchise is expected to up and running at 3000 S Hulen St., Ste. 150 by the end of the year. A recent project filing states construction on the over 2,300-square-foot space could wrap up in early fall, so the new JARS could open to the public by the end of 2023.
This particular franchise has been bought by Tejal and Jason Wible out of DFW. “We’re confident we found the perfect spot to bring the next big thing in desserts to Fort Worth residents,” Teja Wible told the Franchise Wire in July.
The Wibles are prepped to open nearly half a dozen JARS franchises in the growing Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area by 2028. But that’s not all, the Wibles say JARS has a projected potential to open a total of 20 units in the region within the coming three to five years. JARS currently have franchise locations in Illinois and California. The brand is planning an aggressive expansion with other Texas spots proposed for Dallas, Frisco, Highland Park, and Plano, and others in California, according to the brand’s website.
JARS offers single-serve dessert options, in a jar, of course. Some of the nearly two dozen flavors include Fabio’s Tiramisu, Red Velvet Cheesecake, Banana Cream Pie, and French Vanilla Cake.
JARS by Fabio Viviani launched in 2021 and began franchising in 2022. Each franchise will offer a minimum of a dozen JARS desserts daily, says JARS director of operations, Chris Carlton. “The JARS are layered with unique, delicious flavors so you can get the taste of the entire creation in every spoonful,” he says. JARS locations also serve gourmet hot chocolate, fresh fruit refreshers and soft serve ice cream versions of some of the JARS desserts on the menu.
JARS flavors rotate among more than 100 recipes. For example customers can chose from flavors like Cherry Cheesecake, Birthday Cake, Strawberry Shortcake, Viviani’s signature Italian Tiramisu, and even a couple of gluten-free options, Chocolate Caramel Cheesecake and Double Chocolate Fudge Cake.
“Viviani and his JARS franchise have reimagined the way people experience dessert with a menu that celebrates indulgence, creativity and flavor,” Carlton says. “All JARS are made on-site every day. You’re not going to ever get stale cookies or custard, even on large catering orders for meetings, weddings and other events. Our operating standards maintain a high level of freshness in all of our JARS.”
