The fourth annual Burger Week returns this week, Monday through Sunday, in partnership with Tarrant Area Food Bank.
This year, 26 restaurants are featuring a specialty burger for $6. There’ll be giveaways on social media, and participants can download their burger passports to tick off which places they’ve been to so far.
The full list of participating restaurants and burger options can be found here.
“The summertime always sees a spike in food insecurity due to schools being closed and students having limited access to school-provided meals,” says Tarrant Area Food Bank in a press release. “This year, that seasonal increase has been exacerbated by inflation, which has seen the price of food rise more than 10%. TAFB is now providing one million nutritious meals per week throughout its 13-county service area, as much as during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.”
During its first year, in 2019, Burger Week featured 23 restaurants. This year includes fan favorites such as Rodeo Goat, Fred’s, Funky Picnic, Shaw’s Patio & Grill, and more.
"When burger mainstays Fred’s Texas Café and Rodeo Goat, the first two restaurants to sign up back in 2019, agree to participate each year, we know that we have built something important to the Fort Worth community and for Tarrant Area Food Bank,” says Greg Heitzman, a Fort Worth Burger Week organizer.
