Burger Joint in Poly: Chef Ben Merritt's Ben's Triple B
Fort Worth’s $5 Burger Week has two days remaining – Saturday and Sunday. Nineteen restaurants are offering up $5 specials this week, benefiting Meals on Wheels of Tarrant County.

Here’s the lineup (all restaurants Fort Worth, except where noted):
Chop House, 300 Throckmorton St. The special: Chop House Burger. Angus beef, black summer truffle sauce, shaved red onion, vine-ripened tomato, and green leaf lettuce.
Fred’s Texas Café, all locations. The special: Fred Burger. Angus chuck, pickles, tomato, lettuce, onion and mustard on a grilled bun.
M&O Station, 200 Carroll Street. The special: M&O Original Burger. Tangy sauce, melted cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onions, and pickles.
Pearl Snap, 4006 White Settlement Road. The special: Rahr Burger. Four-ounce Angus chuck, boursin cheese, maple bacon, red pepper-infused onions.
Rodeo Goat, 2836 Bledsoe St. The special: The Volunteer. Beef and chorizo patty, Monterrey Jack cheese, crisp beefsteak tomato, cilantro, roasted corn-poblano aioli.
Fixture, 401 W. Magnolia Ave. The special: The Billy Burger. Billy Jenkins-sautéed onions, spicy pickles, burger sauce, tomato and lettuce.
Ben’s Triple B, 3020 E. Rosedale St. The special: Vaquero. Jalapenos, chorizo-grilled onions, pepper jack cheese, and burger sauce.
Bar Louie, 2973 W. 7thSt. The special: Six Napkins Burger. Two smashed slider patties, grilled with yellow mustard, topped with caramelized onions, double-white cheddar, pickles, and Louie sauce.
Funkytown Fermatorium, 611 University Drive. The special: The Burger. Five-ounce Angus, cheddar, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickle, Dream Crusher mustard, brioche bun.
Fat Daddy’s, 781 Debbie Lane, Mansfield. The special: Texas Burger. Double-meat, with American and Swiss cheese, crispy onion straws, and chipotle mayo.
City Works, 5288 Monahans Ave. The special: City Works Burger. Aged white cheddar, shredded iceberg lettuce, vine-ripened tomato, red onion, dill pickle.
Community Taste Project, 1200 S. Main St., The special: The Tasty Burger. Ground beef topped with cheddar cheese and house-made pickles, served on handmade toasted bun.
Billy Bob’s Texas Honky Tonk Kitchen, 2520 Rodeo Plaza. The special: The Fredericksburger. Double patty Wagyu, Shiner queso, TX Whiskey glaze, fried onions, caramelized onions, Dusseldorf mustard and pretzel bun.
Shaw’s Patio and Grill, 1051 W. Magnolia Ave. The special: Cowtown Burger. Lean Angus, cheddar, Cattleman’s BBQ sauce, apple-wood smoked bacon, fried shoestring onions. With your choice of house chips, fries, cole slaw or baked beans.
Rogers Roundhouse, 1616 Rogers Road. The special: Rogers Roundhouse Burger. Two American Wagyu beef patties, shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheddar, Rogers sauce, toasted potato bun.
Mooyah, 9604 Old Denton Road, Fort Worth; 12632 South Freeway, Burleson. The special: Mooyah Double Cheeseburger. Half-pound Angus, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, Mooyah Sauce, potato bun.
Riverbend Café, 7251 Stoneway Drive. The special: The Stuffed. Angus. Stuffed with caramelized shallots and New York-aged cheddar. Topped with seared pancetta, Fort Worth-grown sprouts, beef steak tomato, sweet Texas Vidalia onion, beef steak tomato, BBQ jalapeno aioli. Toasted brioche bun.
Brewed, 801 W. Magnolia Ave. The special: Sriracha Stout Burger. Sriracha BBQ sauce, fried onion rings, Lakewood Brewing Company’s The Temptress beer cheese. Sweet challah bun.
Pouring Glory, 1001 Bryan Ave. The special: Gouda Burger. Eight-ounce patty smothered in smoked gouda cheese sauce, topped with bacon and cilantro, served open-faced.
