The future home of Fire Cup Coffee
A Haltom City home built in the 1940s will soon be transforming into one of the city's only craft coffee shops.
Fire Cup Coffee is expected to open Dec. 31 at 3501 Denton Highway in Haltom City, just off U.S. 377. Owned by Jaye Arsement (who — fun fact — is the mother of popular YouTuber Preston), the shop will serve espresso-based beverages along with an expansive breakfast and lunch menu that includes items like open-faced sandwiches, pizzas, paninis, and pastries. There will also be smoothies, whole juices, and tea.
The menu is decidedly health conscious, Arsement says, with gluten-free and keto-friendly options and milk alternatives like almond, oat, and soy.
"Everybody has such a different palate. I have children, and every one of them eat differently," Arsement says. "To be able to go into a place and meet everybody's needs is super important for me."
As for the space, renovations are currently underway. Arsement says the approximately 1,800-square-foot shop will have a homey, "1940s cigar bar" feel, complete with a stone fireplace, patio, and drive thru.
Fire Cup Coffee will also be roasting and selling beans onsite, using a Bellwether Coffee roaster.
Additionally, the shop has plans to host live music and art shows; and every first Sunday, Fire Cup Coffee will choose a nonprofit to donate 10% of profits.
