Kimbell Café
Just as the leaves are changing, so is dining at the Kimbell Art Museum.
Previously known as the Kimbell Buffet, the Kimbell Café is open once again at the Louis I. Kahn Building.
Returning guests can expect to see past favorites, with a few exceptions by way of new soups, quiches, and salads all arranged by Executive Chef Peter Kreidler. Kimbell Café is also halting normal buffet-style service for the time being, instead introducing box lunches. The box lunches will include a weekly rotating selection of various meals and different size offerings.
In consideration of COVID-19, all tables are socially distanced, have limited seating, and sanitized after every use. Customers can also dine in the outside courtyard; however, the Renzo Piano Pavilion and the Piano Café remain temporarily closed.
Kimbell Café hours are Tuesdays through Thursdays and Saturdays, 11:30 a.m. – 2 p.m. for lunch and 2 – 4 p.m. for sack lunches, beverages, and desserts, and Fridays and Sundays, noon–2 p.m. for lunch and 2–4 p.m. for sack lunches, beverages, and desserts. The museum is closed Mondays, and Friday dinner service is suspended until further notice.
