Maple Branch Craft Brewery will include 25 taps along the 500 square-foot tap wall, including a few house-made hard seltzers and wines on tap. Guests will be able to take home their favorites in growlers or walk in to grab bottles to-go out of refrigerated cases.
Maple Branch Craft Brewery will be the Foundry District's very own taproom and beer garden in the ivy-covered warehouse formerly owned by legendary interior designer Joseph Minton.
Maple Branch, located at 2628 Whitmore St., is owned by husband-and-wife duo Stuart and Allyssa Maples. The award-winning home brewers are ready to take their passion to the next level. They've won over 30 awards in competitions across the country, including first place for their American Brown Ale at the 2018 Bluebonnet Brew-off ― the largest single-site home brew competition in the world.
“We love all styles of beer,” Stuart says. “We smoke our own malt and plan to offer some rauchbiers (smoked beers), and marshmallow stouts, along with a full lineup of German-style beers like doppelbocks and eisbocks. Our Bohemian Pilsner is slightly more bitter than most.”
It takes time to get a brewery set up, from the lengthy licensing process to setting up the pricey brew equipment that’ll reside in the back corner of their 7,000 square-foot interior space.
The Maples anticipate a spring 2020 opening, around the end of April or into May.

You’ll feel like you’re under a lush tree canopy thanks to the decor. Natural elements like indoor trees and sky lights alongside dangling Edison bulbs will illuminate the space.
“We want it to feel like a combination of your favorite coffee house and brew pub,” Maples explains. It incorporates a private event space, for tastings and parties.
The expansive back patio measures the same 7,000 square feet. Outside will feature a fire pit and water fountain with shade from overarching pergolas, and a stage for live bands. Maple Branch will also have games like cornhole, a grassy area for kids to play, snacks for purchase and scheduled food trucks.
