West Seventh's newest cafe is a coffeehouse by day and bar by night.
Ampersand, a coffeehouse and bar, will open in April at 3009 Bledsoe St., in the West Seventh Street area.
During the day, the cafe will serve locally air-roasted coffee, specialty craft coffee and coffee-cocktails infused with java. At night, the menu will offer more coffee-cocktails, such as the Cold Fashioned, a cold brew-infused Old Fashioned. Other drinks include the Ampersand Mule, a classic mule infused with coffee, and Amy Winehouse, a wine milkshake.
Traditional beverage options, including local beer and wine, will be available for those who prefer drinks without coffee.
Ampersand's coffeehouse will open daily from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the bar will open Thursday through Sunday, 8 p.m to 2 a.m. Happy hour will be offered from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
