This years Valentine's Day weather looks like it will be both sunny and in the 60s. This makes for a perfect outdoor date. Skip the reservations and take your significant other on a romantic picnic date!
This step can be as simple or elaborate as you want. If you're wanting to skip the cooking, Central Market is a great place to go pick up meals for your picnic. Another Fort Worth favorite of mine is The Greek House’s to-go menu. A chicken souvlaki pita sandwich and a greek salad make for an amazing picnic lunch.
The Greek House's location off of Park Hill and Forest Park Blvd is located close to the the Trinity Trails, which is a great setting for your Fort Worth picnic. The Trinity Trails have both picnic tables and green spaces for you to picnic along the Trinity River.
A second option for your picnic spot is the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. You can set up and enjoy your picnic anywhere and then go explore the Japanese Gardens, hand in hand since it is Valentine’s Day.
For our more urban readers, Sundance Square Plaza is another perfect spot to set up your picnic. With tables, chairs and people watching, this is the perfect picnic spot for your favorite urbanite.
The picnic basket and blanket help to create the perfect romantic picnic experience. When you pack your picnic basket, do not forget to include plates, cups (champagne glasses), forks, knives, spoons, trash bags and napkins.
To top off your romantic Valentine's Day picnic, don't forget your champagne. Toast to another year and enjoy your time outside in our beautiful Texas weather.
