Two Japanese concepts and a wing spot mark the latest eateries to find their way to West Seventh-area development, Crockett Row at West 7th.
Set to open later this month is Kintaro Ramen, local chef Jesus Garcia's popular ghost kitchen concept (and one of Fort Worth Magazine's Best New Restaurants of 2020), getting its own brick-and-mortar at the former Oni Ramen space at 2801 W. Seventh St. According to a news release, the menu will expand to include spicy karashi tonkatsu and vegetarian ramen, among other new offerings.
Then, in February, a wings concept — Dirty Bones — is expected to open in the former Stirr space at 3028 Crockett St. Dirty Bones is under the same management as Stirr (Milkshake Concepts) and promises a "game-day" atmosphere, serving untraditional sauces and dry rubs, sandwiches, salads, and starters by Dallas-based chef Rodman Shields. The space will also include a rooftop patio.
“We’re thrilled to kick off 2021 with two exciting new additions to our vibrant dining scene,” Monica Bermea, marketing director for Vestar (the company that manages Crockett Row), said in a statement. “Kintaro Ramen and Dirty Bones will be instrumental in attracting both new and familiar faces to Crockett Row at West 7th, and we know these chef-driven concepts will thrive in our unique shop-work-play environment.”
Another new restaurant, The Blue Fish, soft-opened in December at 2932 Crockett St. The Japanese restaurant chain, which also has locations in Colorado, Louisiana, and Florida, specializes in sushi and sashimi, along with other Asian-inspired hot dishes and its claim to fame — the Blue Fish Tower.
