Taco Heads now has two iconic areas of the city it can call home — the Cultural District, where it all began, and as of Thursday, the Fort Worth Stockyards.
The street taco concept celebrated the grand opening of its 3,700-square-foot Stockyards location at 2341 N. Main St., in the slope-roofed building also occupied by Western apparel store Tecovas. Taco Heads' current hours are 8 a.m. – 10 p.m., Monday – Thursday, and 8 a.m. – midnight, Saturday – Sunday.
Taco Heads initially began as a food truck before opening its very popular flagship location along Montgomery Street in the Cultural District. It's oft-gotten praise for its Texas Best Margaritas and signature street tacos — especially its breakfast tacos, served all day at both locations.
Owner Sarah Castillo, who's also behind Tinie's in the Near Southside's South Main Village, is no stranger to the Stockyards. Another concept already open in Mule Alley is Sidesaddle Saloon, a cowgirl-themed lounge specializing in cocktails and small plates.
