The Meat Board
A new butcher shop opened Tuesday to a good amount of fanfare, well deserved if the menu has anything to say about it.
The idea for premium concept The Meat Board comes from four Texan partners — Don Rea, Dr. “Nick” Nickelson, Pat Nicholson and Sam Beebe — who boast extended education plus experience in fine meats and more.
Specialty meats, side dishes, fresh breads and scratch-made desserts are but a few provisions featured at The Meat Board. All offered steaks are graded USDA Prime or Premium Choice and trimmed in-house for custom desired thickness — you might even be tempted to grab from the variety of spices, jellies and infused olive oils to compliment your meal.
A deli, open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, will offer house-developed sandwiches. Lunch-goers will get to choose from the signature Grilled Tenderloin Steak with special sauce, bleu cheese and lettuce on a sweet kolache bun, to around 10 additional options ranging from traditional to experimental.
More yet, a private meeting space, dubbed “The Board Room,” will offer guests a comfy venue available for off-site meeting and dinner party reservation.
Come hungry to the storefront at 6314 Camp Bowie Blvd., and check out TheMeatBoard.com soon for e-commerce options.
