The Cooper
The Near Southside's newest luxury apartment just opened, and among its highlights is an on-site hospitality bar run by a familiar local brand.
That's The Cooper — a five-story, 390-unit development located at 1001 West Rosedale St., which also serves as the home of Craftwork at the Cooper, an offshoot of the popular Fort Worth coffee shop Craftwork Coffee Co.
The $65 million project is developer Lang Partner's largest to date, encompassing two separate city blocks between West Rosedale and West Oleander streets, and connected by a sky-bridge over Washington Avenue. Apartments and townhomes are decked out with features like Dormakaba keyless access systems, walk-in closets, chef's kitchens, and private balconies. Among the amenities are a resort-style, zero-edge pool with lounging shelf, sundeck, and towel service; a leash-free pet park with a lounge and pet spa; and a fitness center.
But unique to The Cooper is the on-site hospitality bar, Craftwork at the Cooper, which will serve specialty coffees and a curated selection of craft beer, wine, and light grab-and-go food. Craftwork will also offer residents poolside beverage service and access to private work suites, communal worktables, and conference rooms. The bar itself, however, is open to both residents and the public.
“The Cooper was years in the making — with very complicated land assemblage, required re-zoning, infrastructure improvements, plus planning and construction — so to see the final product and finally be able to open its doors to residents is a major accomplishment and huge milestone for all of us at Lang Partners,” Dirik Oudt, co-founder and director of development at Lang Partners, said in a statement. “We incorporated every possible luxury amenity and state-of-the-art technology desired by today’s modern apartment dweller, so The Cooper truly sets a new standard for urban living in Fort Worth.”
