Engel & Völkers, which is headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, is well known in the luxury sector. The Clearfork office will join over 800 others locations. With a 40-year history, the global brand has a presence in over 30 countries and employs over 10,000 people worldwide.
They're also in the private aviation and yachting markets. Founder Christian Völkers even established a professional polo school ― the Engel & Völkers + Land Rover Polo School, with locations in Hamburg, Munich, on Majorca, and in Argentina.
Völkers started a brokerage firm with Dirk Engel in Hamburg in the late ‘70s. Engel died only a few years into the joint venture, but the vast company retains his namesake.
Broker Roxann Taylor has been representing Tarrant County properties for many years out of her Engel & Völkers Park Cities, Flower Mound, and Southlake offices. Now seemed the right time to hang a shingle here with the growth of the Fort Worth market.
“I believe that everybody deserves a luxury real estate experience, no matter what price point our customers are buying or selling in,” Taylor says.
Taylor opened in Fort Worth last May, and her 24 agents are already selling Fort Worth. They've been using space at WeWork, right above where the new office will be located. The storefront should be open before the end of the year.
Many of her new local agents came from Virginia Cook Realtors, “so they are doing real estate in their own backyard,” Taylor says. She added that most of them were born and raised in Fort Worth and know the market well.
