Stumpy’s Hatchet House
Fort Worthians get to experience that thrill when Stumpy’s Hatchet House, set to open in May 2020, welcomes guests at 824 W. Daggett Ave.
Burying the hatchet is so last decade. Instead, try solving your problems by hurling it against a wooden wall.
Fort Worthians get to experience that thrill when Stumpy’s Hatchet House, set to open in May 2020, welcomes guests at 824 W. Daggett Ave. With dozens of locations across the US, the first of which open in 2016 in New Jersey, the Near Southside spot joins locations already open in Irving and San Antonio.
The concept is simple: take turns tossing axes toward a target, honing in on form and technique, and kick back on couches and around farm tables in the meantime. Guests will also be allowed to order food in, with snacks, beverages and ice available for purchase.
Stumpy’s even promotes axe-throwing as a healthy stress relief outlet for all ages, and touts its cardio workout potential — up to 400 calories can be burnt working shoulder muscles, core, hamstrings and calves while throwing hatchets.
Stumpy’s spokespeople promise more info closer to when there’s an official opening date. Learn more at stumpyshh.com.
