Good news, Fort Worthians — no need to boil water anymore.
The City of Fort Worth announced late Friday morning that the boil water notice issued earlier this week has ended for North Fort Worth. On Sunday, the city also lifted the boil water notice for West Fort Worth.
The end of the boil water notice affects Fort Worth residents and business owners only. Those in Aledo, Westover Hills, and White Settlement, however, will have to get individual clearance from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) for their notices to be lifted.
According to a news release, "the public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use."
The city is asking residents to direct questions to the Water Customer Service Call Center at 817-392-4477 or email [email protected].
Arlington's notice was also lifted Saturday.
