TCU cemetery
Showing their respects for the 11 teams, Big 12 and otherwise, that the Horned Frogs have left behind in the wake of their, so far, undefeated season, a home on Bellaire Drive has transformed their front yard into a burial ground.
The cemetery — I recently discovered the difference between a cemetery and a graveyard is that a cemetery isn’t done adding graves, so we’ll call this a cemetery — includes purple-doused crosses with the names of the schools TCU has beaten this season. The lengthy list of the deceased includes Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas State, and, more recently, Baylor, each given a plot with a fresh mound of dirt to boot.
We’re, of course, not saying this is the final resting place of Steve Sarkisian, Adrian Martinez, or Brent Venables, but, rather, a place where their crushed souls could catch a breather after daring to go toe-to-toe with Sonny Dykes’ squad. The next headstone: Iowa State.
